Dear Members of the OFRC,
We hope this message finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of an unfortunate development. Due to federal funding freezes and the resulting inaccessibility of essential funds, we must pause all future full group meetings for the time being.
However, the Executive Committee will continue to meet once a month with a dedicated focus on strategizing and finding new, alternative funding sources. These meetings have always been, and will continue to be, open to all members. Your input and participation are invaluable during this challenging time.
Our next Executive Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 18 from 1p-3p at the Crook County Commissioners Office. We hope to see some of you there.
We do not know when regular full group meetings will resume, as this will entirely depend on whether federal funds become unfrozen or we are able to secure reliable alternative funding. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this situation.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the wellbeing of the Ochoco National Forest.
Best regards,
Jenna Deibel (Chair) & Mary Opperman (Vice-Chair)
